Itinerary

Arrive in Bangalore and receive a traditional welcome with fresh flowers. Drive to Kanakapura via Old Mysore Road. Begin your journey with a walk through the backwoods of Kagalipura and explore Bannerghatta National Park.

Overnight: Forest Stay or Local Lodge

Walk through villages of cocoon farmers and cattle herders. Spot monkeys, elephants, deer, and peacocks in the forest. Visit Muttathi Hanuman Temple by the Cauvery River. End the day with a coracle ride and bonfire at a forest-side log hut. Overnight: Jungle Lodge by the River Mahabalipuram

Head towards Mysore via Talakadu and visit the mystical Panchalinga Temple and bird sanctuary. Stop at Somnathpur for its 1000-year-old Hoysala temple. Visit a jaggery-making unit in a village before reaching Mysore. Overnight: Palace Heritage Hotel, Mysore
